The Companies Approach

• Most of the equipment and subsystems which are necessary for satellite ground stations or VSAT networks are bought in items from the US, relatively low European content
• The Know How is system design, negotiations and management with manufacturers, system integration and system acceptance tests against the satellite organization and end customer
• Production plays in this field of activity a lower level role
• These circumstance are even valid for bigger European companies, which also have a relative small number of own equipment and are also acting as system integrators
• The own contents of work is mainly engineering man power
• Resources for mechanical and electrical integration can be easily bought in from subcontractors in the vicinity of the company in high quality, because of specialized companies
