LNB 1:1 Redundancy System

The LNB 1:1 Redundancy System built by Terrasat offers a fast, functional and cost-effective way to realize a 1:1 LNB redundancy on each satellite antenna. The installation to your existing antenna or newly installed antenna is done within minutes by combining an outdoor controller with various control options (RS232/485, TCP/IP, SNMP) and with the help of a pre-integrated installation with all necessary cables and waveguide components. This system can be powered via AC and DC. It is also possible to send an external 10MHz reference signal trough the redundancy switching to the LNBs.
LNB 1:1 Redundancy System
The Terrasat RX 1:1 Redundancy System monitors a number of parameters (current, voltage, L-Band sum level as well as the level of the 10MHz reference signal) to perform an automatic switchover in case of failure. These parameters and their values are to be easily configured via the integrated web interface.

Key Features

The Terrasat Receive 1:1 Redundancy System offers the following key features:

  • Monitoring and control via following interfaces:
    • RS232/485
    • Ethernet, TCP/IP, SNMP
    • optional handheld control
    • via a link from a compatible modem
    • free drivers for our sat-nms MNC Control- and Monitoring System
  • Automatic Rx redundancy connection
    • Monitoring of voltage and current to the LNBs as well as monitoring of L-Band input sum level for improved error detection.
  • Integrated web interface
    • The integrated web interface allows monitoring and control of the 1:1 redundancy unit via a standard web browser.
  • Alarm log with time stamp
    • An alarm log of all errors occurred is stored, Therefore, debugging, especially with intermittent failures is facilitated.
  • 10 MHz Alarm Enable/ Disable
    • This feature allows monitoring of the external 10 MHz reference signal level supplied to the LNB. The alarm may also be incorporated into the automatic switching over.
  • Frequency ranges:
    • C-Band - is supplied with a C-Band waveguide switch. LNBs are not part of the Terrasat Receive 1:1 Redundancy System. We are pleased to offer this separately!
    • Ku Band - is supplied with a Ku-band waveguide switch. LNBs are not part of the Terrasat Receive 1:1 Redundancy System. We are pleased to offer this separately!
