1.64 Ateme-TitanEdge-Bridge

This page describes the device driver and the device window for the Ateme Titan Edge Bridge, Low Latency Professinal Baseband Converter, controlled via REST HTTP.

It was developed with release 3.5.0 and 3.7.1

The driver can only handle one bridge instance. As Titan Edge Server can handle more than one "bridge". Each instance has to be setup in a single device. The respective instance has to be configured at first setup via config.bridge

The following table shows which device window pages are available with this individual device type. Tool-bar functions not mentioned here are described at the general description of device windows .

Configuration parameters

At the maintenance page of the device window there are a couple of configuration parameters which must be set to make the software talk to the Titan Edge.

parameter description
address The Management IP address specification for the device. If authentification is enabled username and password have to be added
readBackDelay Defines the delay the driver uses when it reads back parameters recently commanded. The delay is initialized at a proved preset value which should not be changed under normal circumstances.
bridge Defines the desired bridge instance.
deviceComment An optional text entered here appears as an addition to the tooltip which is shown while the mouse is placed over a device icon in the GUI. The "\n" character sequence is translated into a newline character, splitting the text into multiple lines.

HTTP session reuse

Multiple devices located in the same frame (using the same IP address) can be configured to share the same HTTP(s) session. For this enter the IP address and login credentials at the 'address' config parameter of the first device. For all other devices enter the name of the first device instead. These devices then reuse the HTTP session / connection of the first device. This has several advantadges:
