9.312 Key-Generator

The logical device Key-Generator generates random keys/passphrases with 16, 32, 48 and 64 hex digits. The generator is using the kernel random number source device from a linux system. The script hex-random in directory /scripts is called by this logical device via the button generate. The keys are used by copy and past to other devices or into other applications e.g. mail program. The generated keys could be used to encrypt a transmission.
