5.1.2 For the impatient

This section provides a quick installation guide for the impatient and experienced Debian Linux users. Detailed information are in the following chapters.

Install Debian Linux 12 on your host with your favorite installation method.

We recommend the following settings:

• Language: English
• Disk: 20.0 GB, ext4 filesystem
• TaskSel: not a full installation, just select
  • SSH Server
  • Standard system utilities
• Time: UTC
• Default user: satnms

Install sat-nms base components

apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
apt install /home/public/satnms4-base_[version].deb
apt install /home/public/satnms4-utils_[version].deb
reboot
