4.3.4 Motors

Before you connect the motors to the sat-nms ACU19, take care the ACU19 is in STOP condition before connecting the motors.

1. Click the STOP button on the sat-nms ACU19`s website. By this you can be shure that no motor movement will occur connecting the motors.
2. Connect the motors to the sat-nms ACU19 as described in chapter 4.2.2 .
3. Click the RESET button on the sat-nms ACU19`s website.
4. Check the motor rotating directions, if necessary change it by interchanging the + and - wire of the motor cable.
5. Drive the antenna in every direction (AZ, EL and POL) until the limit switches stop the motor movement to ensure that the limit switches work well. ATTENTION! While doing this test it is absolutely necessary to be very mindful to check, if nothing collides!
6. Set the soft-limits to the desired values (e.g. 1 degree before the hardware limit switch is activated)
